August 2009 / Bott Radio Network Sponsors the Spiritual State of the Union Tour in Missouri with "Prayer Force One", August 25th – 29th
Sue Stoltz, Bott Radio Network’s Mid-Missouri Manager, along with Ed and Sandy Moore, the founders of Prayer Force One, barnstormed seven cities in four days, August 25th – 29th, throughout Missouri. Starting from Joplin, the tour went on to Springfield, Rolla, St. Louis, Columbia, Kansas City and ending at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City. The “Spiritual State of the Union Tour” was part of a statewide effort to encourage Christian believers to unite in prayer for our nation and to promote special prayer at the Missouri State Capitol. They partnered with the “United as One” for their annual Capitol Christian Festival. The tour culminated on Saturday, August 29th with the all day event “Capitol Christian Festival.” Sue Stoltz led the prayer time at the Capitol steps in the morning along with Ed Moore and Regina Shanks.
Ed Moore, former Oklahoma State Senator, restored the bus now named “Prayer Force One” to tour the United States in promoting prayer for national revival. The bus, a Greyhound style “Americruiser”, is painted with the exact same paint as Air Force One, Sam 27000. (Courtesy of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.) It is interesting to note that the Prayer Force One bus was built the same year as Air Force One (SAM 27000), which is now on permanent display at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
"We've made use of the iconic name and familiar paint scheme of Air Force One in order to draw attention to the need to pray for America." Moore said. "Everywhere we go, people immediately relate to the name, "Prayer Force One", and the need to pray for our country."
“Prayer Force One” was filled beyond capacity by enthusiastic prayer warriors throughout the seven city tour stops. Some of these were small groups while at other places they had to welcome guests aboard in successive groups. As the bus traveled they received honks, waves and lots of smiles from patriotic Americans who love our nation, freedom, and pray for good, Godly leadership. Sue Stoltz said, “We were so very pleased to see the many sincere and earnest people who came out to meet us for the express purpose of praying for America and its leaders.”
A comment from one of the attendees at the Rolla, Missouri, stop states:
“Prayer was outside in the park there at the visitor’s center. Awesome prayers went up for our community, state, and nation. There were many prayers for our president as well and a reminder that God is in charge of who is in charge in any nation. It was encouraging to me to see the army of folks willing to take time on a Monday noon to come pray in public for change in our nation.” -Debbie
